What if you wake up tomorrow and the only thing you have is what you told God thank you for yesterday. When I heard this question, it gave me a powerful wakeup call to be diligent and consistent in giving thanks to not only God, but to everyone and everything.
There are times when life becomes very demanding and difficult to manage. So many people, places, or things command our time and attention. Have you ever found yourself lying in bed trying desperately to turn off your mind? Me too. Unplugging from my world helps me to reconnect to my personal power source. This means no phone, electronic gadgets, or people. For me, when peace is still, my cup is preparing to runneth over.

Today I want to share with you my annual State of the Heart Address.
Last year, I made a vow to myself that no matter what happened, I would make a choice to wrap myself up in a Love Bubble. My Love Bubble has been a tremendous eye opener. It has opened my eyes to blessings that I wasn’t able to see before. My Love Bubble has literally changed my life, world, and spirit.
So this Valentine’s Day is unlike any other. I have a greater appreciation for myself and everything in my life. During the darker moments of my life last year, the only thing that changed was my thinking. Through my thoughts, I thought myself a beautiful existence. Through my thoughts, I thought myself bigger than any circumstance. Through my thoughts, I thought myself as love and the desire to be a blessing to others. Lastly, through my thoughts, I thought myself blessed beyond measure! And today, I am all of these things, through my thoughts!
What is your State of the Heart report?
Ladies, my wish today is to coach you on how and when to ask for help. It breaks my heart to see and hear of women suffering in silence. The more responsibility you have, the more need you will have for help. Truthfully, asking for help is a sign of intelligence and strength. Even though we are wonderfully made, there are limitations to our superpowers. We all possess a unique individual gift, but using those gifts collectively gives us our greatest potential for power.
In 2006, I founded Future Focused Professional Life Coaching because I found myself struggling asking for help. And not just any help. I needed help that would be discreet, encouraging, and affirming. Back then, I was working as a psychotherapist. I needed someone that could understand that I shouldered the daily responsibilities of both patient concerns and healthcare staff members. In my job, there was very little room for error. Strangely enough, this is what made me one of the best, but also made me feel alone and stressed.
Please, please, please ladies take great care of yourselves. Do as I did, ASK FOR HELP! It will be the best decision of your life. It’s okay to be selective about the type of help you receive. Quality is important. Call Future Focused for professional life coaching services today. There are several ways that we can help you. Face-to-face, telephone, electronic mail, and Skype. There is no longer an excuse for hiring the best. Call us now @ (901) 494-8033 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
How will you get the help you need?
Tis the season for those wonderful New Year’s Resolutions. If you’re like me, you have a strong desire to have a better quality of life. There are several poor habits that I wish to correct. Some of them are small while others feel impossible to change. However, today I give myself permission to make mistakes. I pledge to be kinder to myself with my thoughts and actions. And if I fall short of my goals, I promise to speak gentle and encouraging words of life into my spirit. My new motto is, “Dust yourself off and try again!”
What tool do you use to stay on track? Future Focused
Years ago, I had a tremendous battle with anxiety. But on the outside, people told me I always looked cool, calm, and collected. It was my secret shame. I thought, if others are not able to see the torment I feel on the inside, then I must be okay. That line of thinking became a source of pride for me. If you notice, I was living with unhealthy doses of shame and pride. Two very powerful ingredients for self-destruction.
As expected, my carefully constructed world came to a screeching halt. It was time for me to make serious changes. My pride and shame cost someone like me a high price. I began to lose my self-respect and sense of personal intergrity. So I began to seek help from various sources to help me overcome this demon.
The biggest lesson I learned was that I have power over my thoughts. So I payed close attention to what I was feeding my soul. Such a simple assignment yielded great results. So I went into action by removing anything and anyone that was negative in my life. For example, I stopped watching negative tv, I spent more time with people who nurished my soul, and every day I would celebrate something that I admire about myself. I was blown away at the difference this made in my life.
Today, I am the author of my destiny. No longer a passive bystander of life. I make it a great day or I make it a not so good day. Either way, I empower myself to be whatever I choose. I feed my soul whatever it needs to shine brightly!

Seems like lately, I have met many people who feel isolated while in the midst of a crowd. They seemed genuinely confused by their feelings until I explained to them that our lives were designed for balance and healthy connections.
Many of us excel on our jobs while others seem to excel in their personal lives. One of the lessons I learned years ago was, the energy I put into my career is the same energy I need to have for my personal relationships. So many times I felt like an outsider, even when I was with friends and loved ones. It wasn’t until I began living in the moment did I experience the sense of belonging that my heart desired.
Life is too short and wonderful to experience it without good quality relationships. Take the necessary steps to live a more balanced and connected lifestyle.
What can you do to have healthier relationships? Future Focused
Not too long ago, I was talking with a client about helping him with his relationships and how to improve them. His story reminded me of my past struggles in relationships. I shared with him how negative self-talk was playing a powerful role in damaging my relationships. Most importantly, my relationship with myself. Because I thought of myself in a negative way, my feelings, choices, and behaviors fell in line with my thoughts. My turning point came when I woke up feeling sick and tired of feeling sick and tired. I wanted better for myself because I knew I deserved better. I was finally able to accept that I was created for a beautiful purpose and was willing to do whatever necessary to take control of my destiny. Life coaching was a wonderful experience in my life. But I will always be thankful that I gave myself permission to live in the light and no longer exist in the darkness!
What do your voices say to you?
For the past few months, I have been sharing my experiences with being in my Love Bubble. Recently, I have added yet another benefit to this beautiful life of mine, and that is STRENGTH! Everyday I wake up and purposefully put on an attitude of love and gratitude. My mind and world have been pleasantly transformed despite all of the many obstacles life tries to throw my way. Recently, I have been reminded that love gives me strength to face, cope, and overcome my biggest fears. I remained committed to seeing the beauty in ALL things, and was given a most precious gift. I could literally feel the love and support of people holding me up and giving me what I need to make it through. I walked away from that situation with a greater respect and love for myself because I accomplished something that I never thought I was strong enough to do. My Goliath is gone and I could not have done it without all the people who are in my love life. THANK YOU EVERYONE!
