Hello my name is FEAR! You may not know who I am but I certainly know who you are. I’m the one who speaks negative thoughts in your head. I’m responsible for ruining that important relationship. And most importantly, I am the one responsible for holding you back. I enjoy your company and want to keep you for myself. You make me feel good when you give into me. I enjoy hearing you tell yourself  that you can’t do something. That gives me power, and I like controlling you. Control is my modus operandi. I must have it. I’m smart enough to know that if you ever begin to listen and respond to truth, then I will lose you forever. And that would be bad for me.

Is today your opportunity for change? Or will you allow fear to continue to control you? You have the power to decide.

Magnificence

Tis the season for those wonderful New Year’s Resolutions. If you’re like me, you have a strong desire to have a better quality of life. There are several poor habits that I wish to correct. Some of them are small while others feel impossible to change. However, today I give myself permission to make mistakes. I pledge to be kinder to myself with my thoughts and actions. And if I fall short of my goals, I promise to speak gentle and encouraging words of life into my spirit.  My new motto is, “Dust yourself off and try again!”

What tool do you use to stay on track?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           Future FocusedDust Yourself

Life can be amazing on many levels. A few days ago, I was reminded of just how far I have come as a human being. I recalled many dark and traumatic places and times.  Those times felt so real that I believed it was my only reality.  Fast forward to years later, and I can see just how many negative circumstances that I successfully overcome.

My secrets to success have been my deep spirituality and surrounding myself with healthy and trustworthy people.  I have learned to not only to spend quality time with God, but to listen to His voice and follow through.  And just when I needed something the most, the right person(s) was always there.  My loving and life saving support system.

Each life experience has helped to make me into the woman I am today.  So in this moment is a woman grateful for her life and the ability to live it to the fullest!  I am proud of me!

What have you overcome?

Recently, I have shared about my Love Bubble lifestyle.  But since then, I have experienced one incredible phenomenon after another.  I’m not sure if its the smile on my face, the frequent spontaneous laughter, or the overwhelming  feelings I have to compliment strangers on random things, but one thing is certain.  Because of this new and wonderful Love Bubble, so many wonderful opportunities are running to keep up with me.

The people I meet can feel this energy and tell me, “I want whatever you have.”  So here are the secrets of my success. I wake up every morning and fill my heart with gratitude and make a commitment to myself to remain grateful!

Are you living in your Love Bubble?

This morning I found myself enjoying the beauty in the simple things of life. A patient,
where I work, that suffers with a chronic mental illness taught me that no matter
the circumstance, there is joy to be experienced and shared. Now this patient has
bravely battled one struggle after another. At times, frustration and hopelessness
seemed to be her constant companions. But for a few moments, when a song began to
play, she was magically taken to a place where peace and joy became her new best
friends. The problems, worries, and frustrations no longer existed. Her smile was
brighter, she interacted with her peers, and most importantly, she was able to
see and feel herself living again.
To others it was just a song. To this wonderful lady it was a brilliant way to
reclaim something that had been missing for a long time. By allowing her light
to shine, she was able to shine on others.
Have you found your song?

An old man, a boy, and a donkey were going to town. The boy rode on the donkey and the old man walked beside him. As they went along they passed some people who remarked it was a shame the old man was walking and the boy was riding. The man and the boy thought maybe the critics were right, so they changed positions.

Later, they passed some people who remarked, “What a shame! He makes that little boy walk.” They then decided they would both walk. Soon they passed some more people who thought they were stupid to walk when they had a decent donkey to ride. So they both rode the donkey.

Now they passed some people who shamed them by saying how awful to put such a load on a poor donkey. The boy and man said they were probably right, so they decided to carry the donkey. As they crossed the bridge, they lost their grip on the animal, and he fell into the river and drowned.

The moral to the story? If you try to please everyone, you might as well kiss your ass goodbye.                         Author Unknown
